Today I applied for my first job. Ever. At the Scera Pool. Don't apply for it because I don't want any competition...:)
Also, today was Sunday and it was amazing. And the world is deciding to think about being spring. And I love it. And I love my family.
And I hate Stake Dances. Especially when I have to plan them.
And sometimes I'm a loser and don't do anything on Saturday nights. It's fine.
Peace.

Happy 50th!
This is my official fiftieth blog post. I feel pretty cool. So I apologize for my lack of pictures lately...the thing is, I was looking through my pictures on facebook and I realized that the most recent pictures are from Shakespeare Festival in October. I guess I'm just not cute anymore. Because obviously that's the most logical option.
Well...today I took the ACT. I seriously stressed out SO much over it. It was bad. But thankfully I had my Papito (Daddy) give me a wonderful Father's Blessing and had lots of people praying for me and said lots of prayers. I felt okay about it. I felt like I had learned everything on the test, it was just a matter of being able to recall said information and answer the question in the amount of time given to me. I really hope I did well. I'm aiming to go to BYU and I think I'm pretty well qualified except for my ACT score. But I haven't gotten it back yet and if it's bad I can always take it again.
After taking that 4 hour test, I headed to my sister's house to share lunch with her and her two adorable children. My niece calls me Em-olly and it is definitely the cutest thing of my life. We talked for a long time about my high school experience and that was really good. It was nice to hear that I'm not the only one who goes through a bunch of poop in life.
After lunch I headed back to school so that I could work on the skirt I am making in sewing. It's going to turn out really cute. It's been hard to work on though because I don't have a pattern and I have to keep asking Mama G for help. It will come together in due time. Then I headed to rehearsal. I did 2 numbers and then stayed there for 5 million hours and never got used. Sigh. I hate when that happens.
The real reason why I'm posting is what happened after rehearsal. So...my friend, Adam, is having a birthday on Thursday. And I thought, you know, birthday's are really awesome and I hate when people don't make a big deal out of my birthday. (Yeah. I'm a brat. Get over it.) And I got my friend Andy something for his birthday (a pancake breakfast...maybe not that great) and so I concluded that I should get him a gift. But...I couldn't think of anything. And then I remembered that this one time during Secret Garden a particular group of girls were complaining about his breath smelling bad. Well they were kind of talking about it in front of him but they wouldn't tell him what they were saying. I, seeing no need to keep things secret (and using every ounce of awkwardness in me) said, "Hey Adam, they think your breath reeks. You should work on that." We proceeded to have a conversation about the unfortunate occurrence of smelling breath and I asked him if he had ever used a tongue scraper (I swear by mine) and he said no. So I told him that I would get him one for his birthday.
I may or may not have purchased a tongue scraper today.
Am I just so awkward?? This could either be really legit or really...not. I think I might just chicken out by the time Thursday rolls around. I think it's pretty hilarious of my to give that present and thoughtful too. But that might just be crossing the line of...I'm a creeper and think your breath stinks. I've never even smelled his breath to be quite honest! I just love that this is what is giving me the most grief in my life right now. Should I should I not give my friend a tongue scraper? And though I doubt Adam will read this, in case he does, just act surprised and completely content with it okay??? K thanks.
WELL. Tomorrow mi madre comes home :) YAY!! I miss her.
Also...that's all. Remember who you are. I'll try to be more photogenic.
K bye.

What do you really want to say?
What do you really want to say?
What do you really want to say?
Antonio Sacre came and visited our school today. He just talked to about 100 members of our student body about his life. I love when people don't tell us how to live our own lives, but let us know how they lived theirs. Everything that I heard him say today just made me that much more excited about my decision to become a teacher.
Reason number 1 why I want to teach? I love people. I love hearing their stories. I love hearing about life; about living. Everyone has a story. And I want to hear it.
He talked about teaching poetry (something he'd never done, wasn't really qualified to do, but did it because he needed money). Kids would read their poems to him and he'd say, "Okay...what do you really want to say?" They would repeat the poem again. He'd say, "Now..what do you really want to say." Then they'd tell him and he would echo the words one more time, "What do you REALLY want to say?" and they'd tell him. I just love that. What do you really want to say?
Folks it was great. I loved it. I also love that it is finally the weekend and I get to go party with my Young Women tonight. I love those girls to death. Be excited for a post about that. :)
Love you all. May your days be Merry and Bright.
P.S. I found winter. It decided to come 3 months late. Sigh.

Just one of the ninety and nine.
I have had some of the worst couple of weeks. I've been moody, depressed, quick to anger, quick to judge, basically just an all around brat. And I didn't know what to do. I mean, I read my scriptures everyday, I go to church, I attend my meetings, I'm involved, I try to be a good friend, I just didn't get it. What was I doing wrong?? And why, when I was praying so earnestly, was I not getting any reply at all? Life sucked. I tried to explain to some people, and while some could relate and understand, nobody could tell me what to do.
So. I woke up this morning and I went to the temple with my best friend Laurel. There was a HUGE crowd. Apparently the temple is a hot place to be on a Tuesday morning. I had talked to a friend and they suggested that I forget everything I was worrying about and just throw myself into service. I thought this was a pretty good idea, but I have a hard time serving people when I don't feel good about myself. Not to use it as an excuse or anything but, for example, if I want to give someone a compliment such as, "Wow! You look SO pretty today!" I have to feel confident in my appearance so that I know my compliment is genuine and not something to draw attention to me or bring me down or whatever. I don't know if that made any sense but..it's just how it was. I didn't know how I was going to serve. But I thought the temple was a good place to start. I am so happy to be able to perform that ordinance for someone who is waiting in heaven.
Anyways, because there was such a huge crowd at the temple, I had a lot of time to just sit and think. I couldn't even tell you what I was thinking about, but it was quiet and I had the spirit with me and my mind was able to relax for the first time in weeks. We got to do confirmations, but there were just so many people and we didn't want to be late for school so we ended up leaving before we could do baptisms. I was a little sad, I mean here I was, all ready to serve, and I didn't get the chance to. But I did. Confirmations are just as important as baptisms and I at least made a difference for five people today. And I'm satisfied with that. :)
School went along and it was tolerable. Nothing amazing happened and nothing horrible happened. But I was happy and I was content. I came home today and remembered a song that my friend had told me to look up. This song captures what I was feeling so well. Ignore the rough voice and cheesy background photos and just listen to the words. It's still cheesy, but something has never meant this much to me before.
I sat at the computer and literally just sobbed. Sobbed and sobbed and sobbed. "You are one of the ninety and nine. Have you any idea how brightly you shine? You are safe in this fold and it's time you were told that I know where you've been so I'll know where you'll be, because all of your life you've been following me. You are more than just one of the sands of the sea or one of the ninety and nine, you are mine." Nothing has hit me so powerfully. This song was meant for me. I felt so much like just one of the ninety and nine. I'm not perfect but I'm really doing fine. It seems all the attention goes to the bad kids and I know I'm not going to be bad just to get attention, but that's just it. Sometimes I need attention too. And that's okay. And the Lord does know me and he loves me and I'm doing just fine.
After hearing it and sobbing, I was so full of the spirit. I decided to keep the fire burning and watched this precious video.
More tears flowed and then I decided it was time to get to work. I said a prayer of gratitude and then I needed to serve. I thought about doing a few different things, but nothing felt quite right. Don't get me wrong, nothing can be wrong when it comes to service but...yeah. So I decided to take a trip to the happiest place on earth. The Library. I found some books for English and just sat and read and pondered. And it was good. I just felt so good.
It was then that Eva texted me and we decided to go visit our bestest friend Brian Johnson (see previous post) because he recently had ankle surgery and cannot move...at all. So we took him some ice cream and just chatted. It was so fun. I was with two of the most amazing people. People that I know and love and trust and can feel good around.
So. Today was an amazing day. There is hope. There are lights at the end of tunnels. Some tunnels are just a lot longer than others. I am going to be just fine. I know who I am, I know God's plan and I will follow Him in faith.
Keep the faith, build the kingdom, go be wonderful.

Happy Valentines Day!
Is it almost midnight? Yes.
Should I be blogging? No.
Will I get in trouble? Probably.
But I'm here and I might as well just tell you how my day went. Really fast.
It started like this:
Then I realized I had half of a 5 million page book project due. So I changed clothes, settled in. Then my bestest friend Sarah brought me cookies for Valentine's Day. It looked like this:
Then I got really angry at my book project and I looked like this:
Then I finished...about 5 minutes ago. Yup. I look like a keeper.
Happy Valentine's Day my friends.
And for the record, this post only took 3 minutes :) ACE.
